I Tested 15+ Kajabi Alternatives (Here Are My Best 7)

I’ve used and tested Kajabi on and off for years.
It’s clean, robust, and does most things decently.
But it’s not built for everyone.
Here’s why:
- It’s expensive for starters and small creators.
- It limits how many digital products you can create per plan.
- You’re locked into using their ecosystem.
- Its course assessment features are lacking.
…and some other limitations which I’ll explain later in this post.
I tested 22 top Kajabi competitors to see how they measure up.
And in this guide I’ll reveal the best Kajabi alternatives for course creators, coaches, and digital entrepreneurs.
Best Kajabi Alternatives: A Quick Summary
Kajabi Alternative | Bottom Line | Pricing /mon |
---|---|---|
Kartra | Best for advanced sales and marketing tools. | $119 – $549 |
Circle.so | Best for building a learning community. | $89 – $419 |
Systeme | Most affordable all-in-one marketing solution | Free plan$27 – $97 |
Thinkific | Best for comprehensive course creation tools | $49 – $199 |
Podia | Best for simplicity and affordability. | $39 – $89 |
LearnWorlds | Best for interactive learning & student engagement | $29 – 249/ |
GoHighLevel | Robust CRM | $97 – $297 |
Kajabi Limitations and Why Look for Alternatives?
I get asked a lot about which platform to choose to create and sell online courses, coaching programs, or community memberships.
And for the past 3 years, I’ve recommended Kajabi for 2 major reasons:
First, it offers a comprehensive product suite.
You can sell online courses, coaching packages, community memberships, and digital downloads all in one place. It also comes with built-in sales and marketing tools like funnels, a website builder, email marketing, livestreaming, and payment processing.
In short, you don’t need to piece together 5 different tools to launch and grow your digital business.
Second, it’s intuitive.
Despite everything it offers, Kajabi is clean, easy to use, and includes AI features that speed up product creation.
I’ve used Kajabi myself and still do for some of my projects.
But over time, I’ve come across some serious limitations that’ll make any creator look for alternatives.
Let me show you:
1. Expensive for many small creators
Kajabi is pricey.
The Kickstarter plan, its cheapest plan, starts at $89 per month—which is a steep entry point for someone just getting started.

And for that “premium” pricing you’d expect Kajabi to be generous.
But no.
Instead, you can only:
- Sell 1 digital product (that can either be a course, digital download, or coaching program)
- Have upto 250 contacts.
- Send upto 7,500 emails
Now, compare that with a platform like Systeme.
Its free plan lets you have upto 2,000 contacts, send unlimited emails, create 1 course and build upto 3 sales funnels.
If you’re launching your first course, burning $89/month on Kajabi is an expensive starting point. However, with a tool like Systeme you create your first online course without any upfront costs.
2. Limited design flexibility for its website and page builder.
Kajabi lets you build a full-fledged website for your education, coaching and membership site business. It provides 10+ free modern looking templates that you can choose from.
Same with its landing pages templates—you get access to over 15 templates covering different use cases like sales pages, thank you page, optin pages e.t.c.
But even so, its customization options are limited. Rearranging sections, changing spacing, or fine-tuning the visual hierarchy is frustratingly restrictive.
If you use one of its pre-made templates it’s hard to uniquely customize them. You can only change the contents of your design including text, images and styling them by changing color and fonts.
Kajabi does offer
3. Underwhelming marketing tools
Kajabi offers built-in marketing tools, including email automation, sales funnels, checkout pages, and payment processing. However, in practice, many of these tools lack depth and usability.
Kajabi’s email marketing tool supports automation, allowing you to send emails based on triggers. However:
- No visual workflow builder: Unlike ActiveCampaign, Kit, or even MailerLite, Kajabi doesn’t offer a visual automation builder. You can’t easily visualize and adjust email sequences.
- Unintuitive interface: The UI feels cluttered and unintuitive compared to dedicated email tools like Flodesk.
- No advanced segmentation: Audience segmentation in Kajabi is rudimentary. If you want to create sophisticated email campaigns based on behavior, you’ll struggle.
Kajabi Payments is only available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K. If you’re outside these countries, you’re forced to rely on Stripe or PayPal, both of which have limitations in certain regions.By contrast, platforms like Systeme.io support a wider range of payment processors, including Paystack, Flutterwave, Xendit, and Razorpay, making them more accessible for global entrepreneurs.
4. No centralized content library for course management
Kajabi lacks a centralized content library, making it cumbersome to manage course materials. Instead of having a dedicated file manager for PDFs, videos, and resources, you must upload files individually to each product. This can become disorganized quickly, especially if you offer multiple courses.
Competitors like GroupApp and Membership.io provide an impressive content library, allowing you to store and reuse course materials across different products without repetitive uploads.

- Kartra
- Circle.so
- Systeme.io
- Thinkific
- Podia
- LearnWorlds
- GoHighLevel
#1: Kartra
Best Kajabi alternative for robust sales and marketing tools.

Of all the platforms I tested, Kartra stood out as the most compelling alternative for advanced sales and marketing automation features.
Kajabi’s marketing tools are decent—but Kartra’s funnel builder, page builder, webinar hosting and video management are more robust.
Let’s start with its funnel builder.
A) Kartra can build sophisticated marketing funnels while in Kajabi you’re limited to simple linear setups.
Both platforms offer visual funnel builders, but Kartra’s is easier to use and far more dynamic.
In Kajabi, you can’t drag and rearrange funnel steps. You’re stuck with a static, linear setup.
Kartra’s feels more like a visual flowchart. You can drag and drop steps, rearrange them freely, and create non-linear funnels with branching logic.
Even better, it lets you map different traffic sources to specific funnel paths. For example, you can send traffic from social media to one version of your funnel, and organic visitors to another—each with its own landing pages and email automation.
Kartra also includes built-in funnel simulation. You can model revenue projections and test different scenarios before launching.
Meanwhile, Kajabi can trigger a funnel from a user action (like filling out a form), but it doesn’t let you control entry paths based on traffic source which limits personalization and segmentation.
B) Kartra has a more advanced page builder than Kajabi
If you care about design flexibility, Kartra gives you more to work with out of the box. It comes with over 99 professionally designed templates and a large library of prebuilt sections you can drop into any page.
Its builder also gives you more design control. You can drag and drop elements anywhere on your page, change background, add padding or effects like box shadow, rounded corners, animations or parallax scroll. And if you know a thing or two about code, you can style ‘em via CSS or edit the page source code.
Kajabi page builder lets you create decent web pages but has limited customization options. For example it doesn’t let you modify individual sections using code or add advanced effects like parallax or even drag and drop elements anywhere on your page.
It offers barely any section templates that you can add to your page. But you can use its custom Widgets functionality which lets you add more design appeal to your pages.
However, they’re available as an addon costing $5 – $27 per month to use 3 to 25 widgets on your website.
C) Kartra lets you sell unlimited products across all its plans, Kajabi has strict limits
Kartra doesn’t restrict product count. You can sell unlimited digital and physical products on all its plans. That’s a big deal if you’re building a broad online business—not just one or two flagship products.
Kajabi limits how many products you can sell. For example its Basic plan which costs $149 per month limits you to 3 digital products. If you’re offering more than a few courses or digital products, you’ll hit those caps fast forcing you to upgrade to a more expensive plan.
Kajabi doesn’t also let you sell physical products and you’ll need to use separate platforms like Shopify if you plan on doing it. For example selling merchandise to your customers.
D) Kartra is the better choice for webinar hosting and video content management
Kartra gives you an edge when it comes to webinars and resource managment. That’s not surprising, considering it’s owned by the same people behind WebinarJam and EverWebinar—two of the most reputable webinar hosting platforms.
You can run live, scheduled, on-demand, or evergreen webinars directly from your Kartra dashboard for upto 5,000 attendees. But it goes further to boost engagement in a live session by enabling you to launch polls, share files, present slides, run Q&As, and a live chat.
In Kajabi you’re limited to a basic video stream for upto 200 attendees, screesharing, live chat, and breakout rooms. That’s fine if you’re doing simple live coaching—but not enough if you’re selling through webinars or teaching live at scale.
Kartra has a better video management system. You can upload videos into a centralized content library, organize them into playlists, tag them for tracking, and reuse them across funnels or membership areas. Even better, Kartra lets you embed opt-ins or call-to-action buttons directly inside your videos. You can trigger automations based on how much someone watched or whether they clicked—turning your videos into interactive sales tools.
Kajabi doesn’t offer anything close. There’s no video library. Every video lives inside a product or a course module. If you want to reuse a video across multiple products or pages, you’ll need to upload it again or manage it manually. It works—but it doesn’t scale well. And there’s no way to add CTAs or automate actions based on viewer behavior.
Katra Pricing
Kartra isn’t cheap, but the pricing reflects what you’re getting—an all-in-one marketing platform with built-in tools for email marketing, funnels, membership sites, helpdesks, checkout systems, and automation. You won’t need to patch together multiple tools, which can save time and reduce integration issues.
Here’s a simple breakdown of Kartra pricing:
- Starter: $199/month – Supports up to 2,500 contacts, and 1 domain.
- Growth: $299/month – Allows 12,500 contacts and 3 domains. Adds more advanced automations, bandwidth, and email volume.
- Professional: $549/month – Supports 25,000 contacts and 5 domains. Includes priority support, advanced analytics, and full feature access.
- Enterprise: $999/month – Custom plan for high-volume businesses. Comes with dedicated support, onboarding, and scalable infrastructure.

#2: Circle.so
Best Kajabi alternative for community-based learning experiences.

Circle.so is the best alternative to Kajabi for building engaging learning communities. It’s an all in one community software that lets you build dedicated spaces for courses, discussion forums, group chats, events and resource libraries.
While this isn’t something new as Kajabi lets you build an online community—Circle has an edge in aspects like live events hosting, gamification, content creation tools, and community customization.
#2: Mighty Networks
Best Kajabi alternative for building branded and multi-tier online community spaces.
Mighty Networks is a comprehensive online community platform that integrates event spaces, online courses, and discussion boards all in one place. Unlike Kajabi, which excels at course creation but offers limited community features, Mighty Networks offers superior gamification, branding, and event spaces.
Mighty Networks vs Kajabi
After testing both Mighty Networks and Kajabi, it stood out in various aspects:
- Mighty Networks offers flexible community spaces while Kajabi’s community circles are hard to scale: Mighty Networks allows you to combine features from different space types to create an all-encompassing space. You can create a space to offer courses, host group discussions, a feed, chats, and live events, which is ideal for fostering cohort-based learning or building multi-tier memberships. Kajabi’s community circles are rigid, allowing only one feature per circle. Courses are offered separately from the community, making integration challenging.
- Mighty Networks has superior community engagement and gamification tools than Kajabi: both platforms enable member engagement through community posts, live events, polls, and group chats. However, Mighty Networks excels with superior gamification features. You can create leaderboards, award points, and badges based on community contributions, and create an ambassador program where you can reward members with community merchandise, exclusive discounts, and redeemable points for inviting their fellow members to join your community.
- Mighty Networks is more affordable than Kajabi: Mighty Networks is budget-friendly, especially for starting creators. It has a low starting price of $49 per month, compared to Kajabi’s basic plan at $149 per month.
Mighty Networks Pricing
Mighty Networks is affordable but gets pricey as you scale. The cheapest plan costs $49 per month and pricing can increase to up to $360. All plans allow you to host unlimited members, admins, and moderators and create unlimited paces.
Here’s a breakdown of the plans:
- Community: 49/month ($41/month when billed annually)
- Courses: $119/month ($99/month when billed annually)
- Business: 219/month ($179/month when billed annually)
- Path-to-Pro: $360/month (annual billing only)

- ClickFunnels has a more robust sales funnel builder than Kajabi: While both Kajabi and ClickFunnels offer drag-and-drop builders, ClickFunnels takes it a step further with native A/B testing. You can test variations of your sales pages to identify which converts best. ClickFunnels lets you analyze headlines, buttons, offers, and every crucial element within your funnel to help you optimize for maximum conversions, a feature missing in Kajabi.
- ClickFunnels website builder offers more design control than Kajabi: Both feature drag-and-drop website builders, but ClickFunnels offers more granular control on how you style elements on your web pages. You can style individual rows and columns of your webpage, and add margins, padding, or box shadows. You can further enhance the appearance of individual elements using custom CSS. ClickFunnels even offers prebuilt section patterns so you don’t have to build one from scratch, unlike Kajabi.
- ClickFunnels has more pre-built funnels & templates: ClickFunnels provides a wider variety of 20+ pre-built funnel templates for different goals (webinar signup, product launch, checkout page membership signup). While Kajabi also offers templates, ClickFunnels provides a more extensive collection specifically geared toward conversions.
- Clickfunnels has a visual workflow automation builder while Kajabi doesn’t: Both platforms let you build automated email sequences, but ClickFunnels has an edge with its visual workflow builder. ClickFunnels uses a flow-chart style interface to let you visualize every step in your email workflows, making the automation process clearer and more efficient.
ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels is more affordable than Kajabi allowing you to create unlimited funnels, courses, and contacts across all its plans. Kajabi possesses hard limits on the same aspects. Here’s a simple breakdown of ClickFunnels pricing.
- Startup: $97/month ($81/month annual billing saves $194/year)

Cheaper Kajabi alternative.
Systeme.io is the closest alternative to Kajabi, offering a comprehensive digital business suite at an affordable price. It features a sales funnel builder, email marketing tools, online courses, and membership sites, at a fraction of the cost of what Kajabi offers.
Systeme vs Kajabi
After testing both platforms, here are a few areas Systeme thrived over Kajabi.,
- Systeme is more affordable than Kajabi: Systeme offers everything you need to launch your digital business for free. With its free plan, you can host 2,000 contacts, one course, 15-step funnels, and unlimited students and members. The most expensive plan costs $97 per month and does not cap resources. You can have unlimited automations, and build unlimited funnels, contacts, and products. In comparison, Kajabi’s lowest plan costs $69 per month and limits you to one funnel, one digital product, 250 contacts, and 50 active customers. Its highest-tier plan costs $399 per month but caps your funnels and products at 100. That’s quite a price difference considering that both tools nearly have identical feature sets.
- Systeme offers a more robust sales funnel builder than Kajabi: Both allow you to build sales funnels for your digital products, but Systeme includes native A/B testing features that Kajabi lacks. Systeme also has a unique “deadline” funnel feature, enabling you to create limited-time offers, ideal for creating FOMO and boosting conversions.
- Systeme has a more intuitive workflow automation builder than Kajabi: It features a flow-chart style workflow builder, providing a clear way to design and manage intricate workflows. This makes it better for users with advanced email automation needs. Kajabi, on the other hand, uses a list-based style for its automated email sequences. This linear format can become cumbersome for complex workflows with multiple branches and conditions.
- Systeme integrates with more payment gateways: it supports Stripe, PayPal, Flutterwave, RazorPay, Mercado Pago, and Mollie. In contrast, Kajabi only supports three payment gateways including — Kajabi Payments (limited to US-based users), Stripe, and PayPal.

Best Kajabi alternative for building community-centric courses.
Circle is an intuitive all-in-one community platform that integrates live events, discussion boards, courses, memberships, and chats in one place. Unlike Kajabi, which is primarily digital course-focused, Circle offers robust tools for building community-centric online learning environments.
Circle vs Kajabi
- Circle is community-focused while Kajabi excels in online course building: Circle is centered around community-building, offering dedicated spaces for discussion boards, live events, online courses, and chats. On the other hand, Kajabi offers communities as a secondary feature to its core course creation tools. It provides courses and communities as separate products, making it challenging to integrate them. This setup can lead to a more isolated learning experience, where member interaction is not fully integrated into the learning process.
- Circle offers better community management features than Kajabi: Circle provides advanced tools for managing discussions, moderating content, and facilitating member interactions. These include member tagging, content libraries, automated check-ins, profanity filters, workflow automations, and group creation. In contrast, Kajabi lacks most community management tools such as profanity filters, making it challenging to create a cohesive and engaging community experience.
- Circle has a more intuitive user interface than Kajabi: Circle’s streamlined interface minimizes the learning curve, allowing creators to set up their online learning community fast. Every feature is easy to access and set up. Meanwhile, Kajabi’s vast array of functionalities, from landing page builders to sales funnels, can create a steep learning curve for creators who want to focus on building a strong learning community.
- Circle offers better third-party integration than Kajabi: Circle seamlessly integrates with over 50 third-party apps and 1000+ third-party content hosting platforms. This allows you to benefit from a wider range of solutions for different aspects of your coaching or info business. For instance, you can use tools like ConvertKit for advanced email marketing campaigns or specialized tools for gamification to scale your business effectively. In contrast, Kajabi requires you to invest in its all-in-one ecosystem, locking you into its built-in tools, which are not as robust as specialized platforms.

Comprehensive LMS platform ( Best Kajabi alternative for learning institutions & corporate organizations).
LearnWorlds is a well-rounded LMS platform with an impressive feature set to help creators, edupreneurs, and institutions build engaging learning experiences for students.
Unlike Kajabi, which focuses more on being a creator business platform, LearnWorlds is centered around LMS functionality.

LearnWorlds vs Kajabi
Both platforms excel in building online courses but there are a few aspects that LearnWorlds wins over Kajabi.
- Interactive video courses: LearnWorlds shines with its interactive courses allowing you to incorporate various elements directly into your videos including buttons, offers, questions, transcripts, images, and custom embeds. Kajabi offers a straightforward video player without the ability to add interactive elements or overlays directly to the video lessons.
- Better gamification: with LearnWorlds you can incentivize student learning through leaderboards, badges, and rewards, which can be customized to match your branding. Kajabi does not offer built-in features for gamifying the learning experience in courses.
- Superior assessments and certification: LearnWorlds offers comprehensive assessment tools, including quizzes, self-assessments, exams, and grade books. It also allows you to award a course completion certificate and an exam certificate. Meanwhile, Kajabi offers basic assessment tools such as quizzes and simple certifications. Thinkific vs Kajabi
After testing and comparing both platforms side-by-side, Thinkific stands out as an ideal alternative to Kajabi in several aspects:
